Happy 2010 Everyone! I hope everyone had a
wonderful Christmas holiday and a great New Year’s Eve celebration. Tommy and I went to Mid
Winter in How
about our new beginners’ class. Let’s remember to make a point to
welcome them when they come to The Pines.
Some great potential new members are in this class. Hope everyone will be
able to come to the February social with their “sweetheart”. Anyone planning to donate a raffle item
please bring to shag prior to the social if possible. Door prizes are welcomed anytime. RCSC has been asked to
participate in other events coming up in the next few months. More information will be forthcoming as
time gets closer. If anyone has any
pictures they would like to submit to the newsletter, please contact Linda

The Pines! Joan Moore, President Monthly Business Session December 16, 2009 HIGHLIGHTS Audit Report: Harold Nelson reported that Patricia Delano,
Valerie Taylor and he had conducted an audit of the RCSC finances and
found all to be in order, with no significant errors. The audit report was
filed. Ways and Means: The
$1000 collected for the Belks Charity Day will be used for Classic event
expenses. The Pines will hold 144
people; 200 tickets will be ordered for the Classic on April 10. The theme
will be April Showers. It was decided a meal will be served. Patti Delano
suggested getting flowers/plants from the high school as part of a
donation ticket with a “come grow with us” theme. 2010 Budget: Harold Nelson presented the proposed budget
prepared by the Ways and Means Committee. The budget with a small annual
balance is based primarily on membership dues (90 member minimum) and on
attendance and funds raised at monthly socials and Wednesday dances.
Members were asked to review the budget prior to voting on it at the
January 20 meeting. Public Relations: Announcements about club events have been in the

& Publishers about fees clubs maybe required to pay for playing music
at club events. Grave Digger: Dennis Anderson sold the grave digger car part. RCSC and
Hopeline each received $175. ACSC donated $10,000 to
American Red
